Motels & Hotels

Throughout my travels across the Sunshine State, I’ve been drawn to the character and charm of Florida’s motels and hotels  each with its own story to tell. State records show there are roughly 4,900 lodging establishments, including about 1,000 motels. From shabby-chic roadside inns reminiscent of the 1960s to timeless Art Deco landmarks that still dazzle visitors, and even sleek, modern high-rises that define today’s skyline  every style has its place here. Join me on a journey through Florida’s hospitality history, where architecture, design, and nostalgia meet. After all, at some point, we’ve all rested our heads in one of these storied spaces.
